Anna Silk was the first child born to Peter Silk (an academic) and Ilkay Silk (a playwright, actor director, producer, and professor of St. Thomas University). Anna Silk's father was British, as is her mother is a Turkish Cypriot English expat. Her mother was always watching her working in rehearsals for plays. Her appearances in commercials were numerous in her early years. Anna relocated to Toronto in the fall of 1999 to further her acting career. Then, she settled to Los Angeles (California) over the next decade. Seth Cooperman and Anna met in Los Angeles in 2007, during an actor's training. They became engaged in 2009 after getting married. Anna became a Jew in 2011, after she converted to Judaism. The couple was wed in a civil ceremony in December that year and then renewed their vows during a Jewish ceremony held in Fredericton, in April 2011. Bo's similar-sex romance with Lauren (played by Zoie Palmer) was highlighted on CNN's list of the top Favorite Television Couples and named the Top TV Couple in the year 2013 by E! Entertainment Television. Anna's popularity on the internet grew thanks to the popularity of the show.
